An electronic fuse is a protection device placed at the system’s power input, designed to replace traditional fuses.

It typically integrates a low-impedance active switch and control circuitry. When overcurrent, overvoltage, or overload conditions are detected along the power path, the control circuit immediately shuts off the switch to prevent further damage or hazards.
